PERTH POOL TABLE REMOVAL COSTS 2026

What a Pool Table Move Costs in Perth

A local professional pool table move in Perth typically ranges between $350 and $900 all-inclusive for standard residential sizes. Slate pool tables weigh anywhere from 300kg to over 1,000kg and require precision disassembly, transport, reassembly, and mechanical levelling. Our pricing is confirmed after we understand the table size and the access at both ends.

7ft to 8ft Standard Slate Tables

$350 to $550. The most common residential size. Usually requires a two-person crew. Includes full disassembly, slate transport, reassembly, and precision re-levelling.

9ft Tournament Tables

$500 to $700. Increased slate thickness requires extra manpower. Still includes full disassembly, protected transport, reassembly, and re-levelling.

10ft to 12ft Full-Size Snooker Tables

$750 to $1,200 or more. Must be completely stripped to the bare frame with individual slate slabs moved one by one. The most involved pool table job we do.

What's included in every pool table move: full disassembly (pockets, rails, felt, slate, frame, and legs), moving blanket wrapping for all components, slate transport flat, padded, and strapped, full reassembly at the destination, precision re-levelling with appropriate equipment.

Access surcharges (where applicable): stairs: $100 to $300 per flight depending on difficulty, tight corridors or sharp turns requiring vertical tipping: $50 to $100, grass, gravel, or steep driveways: $50.

OUR PROCESS

How We Move a Pool Table

Before we confirm the booking, we ask two things: whether your table has a one-piece or three-piece slate, and whether there are stairs or tight corners at either property. The answers shape the crew size, the equipment, and the time estimate.

Disassembly

We remove the drop pockets and detach the side rails first. The felt is un-stapled carefully rather than pulled, preserving it for reuse where possible. The slate sections come out next, each handled with multiple crew members. Finally, the frame and legs are dismantled. Nothing leaves the property as a single assembled unit.

Wrapping and Protection

Each slate section is wrapped in thick moving blankets before it is moved. The frame and rails are wrapped separately. The felt is folded and protected rather than rolled or bundled loose.

Transport

Slate sections travel flat on the truck, padded and strapped. They do not move in transit. A slate slab shifting under braking is a serious problem for the instrument and for everything else on the truck.

Reassembly and Re-levelling

At the destination, the frame goes back together, the slate is set, and the joints are filled and levelled using a precision spirit level. The felt is stretched and re-stapled properly. The rails and pockets go back on. A pool table requires a highly sensitive machinist's spirit level accurate to 0.05mm. Without this precision levelling, balls will drift to one side and the table will be unplayable.

TABLE SIZES WE MOVE

All Standard Pool Table Sizes Handled

We move all standard pool table sizes across Perth metro. Larger tables take longer, require more crew, and may need a site check if access is tight at either end. If you are not sure of your table's size, tell us the dimensions when you call.

  • 7ft to 8ft standard slate tables: the most common residential size. Standard two-person crew. The main variables are access, stairs, and drive distance.
  • 9ft tournament tables: thicker slate, more crew required for safe handling of each slab.
  • 10ft to 12ft full-size snooker tables: completely stripped to the bare frame with slate slabs moved individually. The most involved job we do.

WHY IT GOES WRONG

What Happens When a Pool Table Is Moved Incorrectly

The most common and costly disaster is cracked or shattered slate. While people worry most about tearing the felt, fabric is cheap to replace. Damage to the underlying slate, the frame, or your own body is what actually ruins the table. A cracked slate cannot be safely glued back together. It requires an entirely new set of matching slates, which often costs more than a brand-new table.

  • Trying to move the table in one piece causes the 300kg to 600kg weight to tilt or slip, instantly cracking the slate if dropped even a few inches.
  • Transporting the table whole causes road vibrations to pop the wax filler between slate sections and torque the wooden frame, stripping bolt holes and cracking joints.
  • A pool table reassembled without a machinist's spirit level will have balls constantly drifting to one side, making the table completely unplayable.
  • Amateurs carrying a table up stairs almost always lose grip, resulting in crushed fingers, broken bones, gouged drywall, and a destroyed table.

WHY US

Why Perth Locals Choose Awesome Mate Removals for Pool Table Moves

Precision Re-levelling Included

We do not bolt the legs back on and walk away. Re-levelling uses a machinist's spirit level accurate to fractions of a millimetre with micro-shims under the slate joins. The difference shows up the moment you play on it.

In-House Crew, No Subcontracting

The crew that quotes your move handles the table. No handoff to a third party. For a heavy, fragile item that cannot be repaired cheaply, that continuity matters.

Insured for High-Value Items

Goods in Transit insurance is included on every job. For valuable tables, we confirm what the coverage includes before the move. Certificates of insurance available on request.

All Perth Suburbs Covered

We cover all Perth metro suburbs from our Tuart Hill base. Whether you are moving across the street or across the city, the same crew and the same process apply.

FAQ

Pool Table Removalists Perth: Frequently Asked Questions

A standard 7ft to 8ft residential slate table typically runs $350 to $550 for a metro move including disassembly, transport, reassembly, and re-levelling. A 9ft tournament table runs $500 to $700. Full-size snooker tables run $750 to $1,200 or more. Stairs add $100 to $300 per flight. Our pricing is confirmed after we know the table size and the access at both ends. Yes, and this is not optional for slate tables. Moving a slate pool table in one piece risks cracking the slab, popping the slate joins, and damaging the frame under the weight. We remove the pockets, rails, felt, slate, and frame as separate components, transport each one protected, and fully reassemble and re-level at the destination using precision equipment.

Yes, though stairs and tight access need to be flagged before we confirm the booking. We ask about staircase configuration at both ends, whether the stairs are straight or have turns, and whether there are any doorways the frame needs to be tipped vertically to clear. Stairs carry a surcharge of $100 to $300 per flight given the physical difficulty of moving slate sections safely on an incline.

Yes. The felt is un-stapled carefully before the slate comes out, then folded and wrapped separately for transport. If the felt is in good condition, we re-staple it during reassembly. If you are planning to refelt the table anyway, the disassembly is a good opportunity to do it. That is a job for a billiards technician rather than a removalist.

The most expensive outcome is cracked slate. A slate slab dropped or shifted under uneven load can shatter, and replacement slabs often cost more than a new table. The second common outcome is a table that plays badly: without precision re-levelling using proper equipment, the ball rolls consistently toward the low side and the table is effectively unplayable.

Yes. Goods in Transit insurance is included on every job. For high-value tables, we confirm what the coverage includes before the move. Certificates of insurance available on request.
